Team Honor Foods outlast Team Jimmy Binns 86-80
In a relative shootout, Team Honor Foods was able to hang on to defeat Team Jimmy Binns, 86-80 to earn their second win of the season.
Team Honor Foods was led in the first half by the play of Todd McCoy and Jason Hickenbottom, who worked the interior very well offensively. In the second half, Jason Blake stepped it up with drives to the hoop, and Angelo Hernandez sealed the deal with clutch free throws down the stretch.
Team Jimmy Binns, under new head coach Ron Sizer, had difficulties on defense, especially in the frontcourt and communicating assignments, possibly due to adjusting to Sizer's coaching style. Although James Inge played with a lot of energy, Matt Wilkins and Tyreek Hampton played hard inside and outside the paint, and Matt Spadafora was able to connect from the outside a few times, Team Jimmy Binns spent most of the game trying to overcome deficits. With only 6 players dressed to play, the uphill battle proved too much, and Team Honor Foods was able to hold on for the victory.
Team Honor Foods improved their record to 2-5. Highlights of this game will be up later today.

Team James Flint comes from behind to stun Lennon Financial, 67-66
Once down by as many as 15 points in the second half, Team James Flint needed 39 minutes and 58 seconds of game time to take the lead for good from Lennon Financial.
Nate Edwards from Kutztown University nailed a three from the left wing to give James Flint a 67-66 victory in the college division of the Sonny Hill Community Involvement Summer Basketball League last night. The comeback was sparked by the inspired play of Reggie Redding from Villanova University, as he started taking the ball to the hole and hitting mid-ranged jumpshots that Lennon Financial could not stop.
The game was competitive throughout, however, Lennon Financial was able to create some seperation with the play of D.J Rivera, Al Fisher and Stephon Jackson. With just a little under 15 minutes left to go in the game, Lennon Financial's lead was 15 points. But when Team James Flint began to make their comeback, Lennon Financial started to play conservatively, and thus the momentum completely shifted to Redding, Edwards, and Team James Flint.
Edwards was relatively wide open for the game winning three point shot, and Redding said after the game that before the play, Edwards "said to give him the ball and he would make it."
The highlights from this game and the post-game interview with Redding will be posted this evening.
